It has been a while! I have been hard at work creating Fingeance with Escape Industries these past few months. We have been making some HUGE strides in finishing up…
For the past month I have been hard at work with the folks over at Escape Industries to bring the Fingeance alpha to life!
Recently, I had the opportunity to work with Pollen and Glitch Gaming on an article on the Cofounder and close friend, Evva Kraikul (@Evvahs). I was tasked with creating a small game that would be embedded into the article that related to Evva as well as what she is doing in Minnesota. Considering Pollen’s audience, some people don’t play games often, so they came up with the idea of making a game like Cookie Clicker (I am not going to link that here as that may take over the next few hours of your life… though I am not going to stop you from looking it up).
Before I went on hiatus I made a post on a game that I am working on with another game development group now called Escape Industries. That game was called Fingeance. It was a party game that you played on your phone where your goal was to mess with the other players who were battling undersea fish.
Boy has that changed.
Note: This post is going to be like an extended postmortem to the original one (Which you can find here: Glitch in the System – Postmortem). So I am basically going to be talking about what happened these last few months.
As I have said before I am working on a game outside of Tribe Games with the studio Puppeteer called Fingeance.
You are a crabby fish that cannot breathe underwater and decide to battle the fish of the sea!
Fingeance is a top down shooter where you can upgrade your ship, but each upgrade doesn’t come without a cost. For each positive effect you gain, a negative one comes with it.
Yes, it is true… Stasis is being canceled. It was a tough decision but there were too many things going wrong in development for me to keep pushing through. It isn’t something that I want but it is for the best. (more…)
This week I have been working on Game Design related issues with the game. I noticed that time powers weren’t a central focus to the gameplay while I was testing…
I have been working on updating the cluster feature to include fading away. What this does is after a period of time on the field the clusters fade away and…
I have been getting back to work on Stasis after the release of Glitch in the System. I learned a lot from the experience and will be putting a lot…
