This weekend I was able to attend GlitchCon hosted by Glitch Gaming in Minneapolis, MN. I must say…
The experience was amazing.
I truly am at a loss for words as I recount the experience that I have had during this event. It really was an eye opener. That is due to this being my first video game convention that I attended. The experiences I had are invaluable.
The knowledge that I gained as I attended the various talks is indispensable. The concepts and examples that were used really help me focus on what I am doing now and what I need to do in the future. I also had the chance to speak with industry veterans and learn some of the tricks of the trade when it comes to art, game design, and storytelling in video games. I am honored that I was able to talk to some extremely talented people.
One of the most impressive parts of the convention was not just the tournaments or the area that it was taking place; it was the comrade of the convention. It was the intimate style of the convention. The fact that I was able to have one on one talks with the presenters. I could talk to fellow gamers and game creators. How pop up Nidhogg tournaments can appear. It was an awesome experience.
Overall I was glad to have the opportunity to go to GlitchCon as it confirm what I want to do in life and what I can do to get there.
Here are some pictures that I took of the convention floor:
