First and foremost, a new video!
In the video I demonstrated:
- Clusters are now realized in the game. If you place four blocks of the same color together you create clusters. You can clear those cluster thus clearing the grid. This currently is very easy to do because there is nothing that is limiting the player from pressing the button. There also is no incentive to not clear the cluster right away; that will change at a later date.
- The falling block mechanic has been reconstructed. Blocks will react to the clusters disappearing and fall accordingly.
- Bugs! I found some interesting bugs while working on this and I thought I would share some of them. The “Glitch Row” has been in there for a while, but the rotation glitch is new.
We are very close to having a worthwhile demo of the game. I want to add in a couple more things before that happens so please bear with me.
